How can I register for the MS Walk?

Click on Register and you will be taken to a page where you will choose the walk you would like to participate in.

How much is registration?

We do not have a registration fee but we do ask each walker to fundraise a minimum of $50 for local programs and research.

What do I get when I register?

Access to your own fundraising web page, which you can customize with your own message and photos to help you in your efforts.  Please check out the Participant Center Guide on how to set up your web page. 

How long is the MS Walk?

MS Walk is 5 kilometers or 3.1 miles.

How do I get there?

What time does the MS Walk start?

What should I expect on the morning of the walk?

When you arrive you need to check in at registration to receive a Walk MS wristband.  Once you are checked in you can enjoy a hot breakfast with coffee and juice.  A group warm-up is held approximately 15 minutes before the MS Walk kicks-off.  After the walk a light lunch will be provided along with entertainment. 

How much money should I raise?

The MS Walk is one of the National MS Society's largest annual fundraisers. We ask that each walker fundraise $50, last year MS Walkers raised on average $250! You will be amazed at how easy it is to ask your friends, family and co-workers to support you once you tell them about our mission.How do I use/ Where can I find the online fundraising tools?

Where does my money go?

82% of the money raised at the MS Walk funds local programs and services for the more than 6,000 people living with MS in South Florida and national research efforts to find a cause and cure for MS.

When and where do I turn in my pledges?

There are three easy ways to turn in your pledges:

  1. Fundraise online!  Pledging online is a quick, easy, no-hassle way for you to collect funds from friends, family and co-workers in your community and around the world. How to Set Up My Personal Page
  2. Turn in your donations the day of the event using the pledge envelope that is provided to you the day of the Walk.  To help us in crediting your donors please fill out the MS Walk Pledge Sheet and turn in with your cash and/or checks. 
  3. Mail or drop off your donations at the National MS Society South Florida Chapter office:  3201 W Commercial Boulevard, Suite 127, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309.  Be sure to put your name in the memo portion of each check, along with your team name if you have one! (Do NOT Mail Cash)

What if I need more donation forms or brochures?

You can download the donation form and brochures here. Please E-mail us or call us at 1 800 FIGHT MS (800-344-4867) for any additional materials that you may need (posters, brochures, etc.).

How can I join a team?

Click on “Join a Team” and it will take you to the registration page for team members. Please make sure you know the correct spelling of your team name and team captain.

How do I move funds from one team member to another?

Please E-mail us or call us at 1 800 FIGHT MS (800-344-4867) with the name of the team members and the dollar amount you would like to be transferred.  Please allow for 2 days to see the transfer take place online.

How do I divide up funds amongst my team members?

The Team Contribution Division Form helps ensure that your team contributions are accurately distributed amongst your team members for team ranking and prize purposes.  Please note; only confirmed monies in house can be divided, NOT pledges (or unconfirmed gifts). 

I want to bring my kids with me.  Do they need to register?

Yes, all individuals participating in the MS Walk, regardless of their age, must register. All individuals under the age of 18 must have adult supervision at the MS Walk.

No Pets AllowedCan I bring my pet?

In order to maintain the safety of everyone in our events, the National MS Society’s policy is that we DO NOT allow pets at our events with the exception of service animals.

What if I can't finish the MS Walk?

No problem!  Each MS Walk site will have support vehicles patrolling the routes. If necessary, a support vehicle can pick you up and take you to the finish line. (The vehicles will be clearly marked with the MS Walk logo on the driver and passenger side doors)

What if it rains?

The MS Walk takes place rain or shine. You'll have a great time for a great cause whether it's sunny, cloudy or rainy!
